After a year of online learning, our school is about to transition back to in-person. Last year, I witnessed my kindergarten class struggle through a multitude of challenges while navigating online learning. One of the biggest obstacles I faced was not having the ability to provide hands-on activities that would keep the students engaged while we worked together on a screen. As I pondered our upcoming year, it became abundantly clear that when we come back they would benefit most from interactive, hands-on tools.
My goal this year is to provide students with a tangible and meaningful reading experience that will produce a love for learning and reading.
With the use of the items on my wishlist, I will be able to give my students the opportunity to touch, feel, wonder, and learn about the rules and processes of our language.
