Students in my choir will be using the sphere, shaker eggs, and whiteboards to become better musicians while also having fun. The kinesthetic learners will benefit from being able to hold and manipulate items while learning and the visual learners will greatly benefit from being able to see things demonstrated with the Hoberman Sphere.
The Hoberman Sphere can teach musicianship skills in so many ways! I can use it to model different ways of breathing together in a way that all in the room can see easily from wherever they are seated. I could also use it to show dynamics in music by having it grow larger to match a crescendo.
The shaker eggs will give students a fun new way to practice rhythm. We will use them to practice patterns in our songs and potentially even use them as added percussion in a performance.
The whiteboards will be great for learning note names and writing out what rhythms they hear.
We will have so many uses for the Hoberman Sphere, shaker eggs, and whiteboards in our choir classes!
