The Lego Club is an after school club that is available to all students at my school. We are fortunate to have a very culturally diverse population of students and we have a large population of students that come from a disadvantaged socioeconomic home. This project will put Legos in the hands of students that might not have a chance to engage in playing to learn in their own homes due to the cost of modern Lego sets. This will create educational opportunities in areas of engineering, building/construction, imagination, and design cycle experiences.
Playing with Legos allows kids the chance to build their own worlds and can plant the seeds of creativity and design. My kids deserve the chance to experience the joy of creativity and a learning experience that is determined by them.
