As an adult it is hard to sit in one spot for a long time. It is even harder for young students and can effect their learning. Flexible seating offers students the chance to wiggle, wobble, rock and bounce which also helps increase oxygen flow to the brain for learning. It is a way to release energy while working without having negative results. Pent up energy and frustration along with sensory needs can lead to negative behavior, experiences, and outbursts during instruction. Having the ability to use seating to help release this energy, frustration, and sensory needs can lead to a more positive experience during instruction for students.
