My classroom was completely empty upon entering the school. Having a comfortable space for learning and reading on the floor is so important to instill the love of learning in young minds and hearts. If my students received this carpet, it would promote their ability to reconnect after a year of virtual class because they will be able to sit close and absorb more. Currently my students only have desks to sit at to work. If we had a carpet, it would give some choice for their seating options. When students are given choices, they feel they have autonomy over their learning, and it increases engagement in class.
