My goal is to use the professional development books as a resource to build my skills in helping students recognize and effectively regulate their emotions.
Books are also great tools to help students make connections with the characters and their own personal lives. The picture books will be used for small groups, to lead discussions, to learn and practice coping skills.
The fidget tools are to help my students feel comfortable to share information in conversations with me or to use in their classrooms as a tool to stay focused.
The LEGOS will be used in conjunction with a book titled: Thera-Build with LEGO: A Playful Therapeutic Approach for Promoting Emotional Well-Being in Children.
