These books will inspire creativity and allow students of all backgrounds to see themselves in literature. I have chosen these books with my students in mind to not only gage their interests, but to represent their cultures. There is nothing quite more motivating to read than brand new books on the shelves, and to know that a community cared enough to make that happen. I cannot wait for my students' faces to light up when they can say that they have access to a variety of new books to explore and share. My students have already shown a great interest in reading and I hope with access to many more books, that interest will soar!

About my class
