These are books that my students have asked to be added to our classroom library. My students are allowed to check books out of the classroom and take them home to read as well. This collection also includes our first novels series we will do as a whole group where my students will do an in-depth study of the characters in the book. I think by building my classroom library to fit their wants, they will choose to read more and enjoy it rather than being forced to read books that are out of the areas of their interest.
