The use of Chromebooks is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in reading. Using the headphones will allow students to listen to stories and to work with the apps the district provides. Some of my students learn through practice, some learn by looking at pictures, and others learn by listening. Many auditory learners prefer to record lessons so they can listen to them again. Thus, having headphones at school will allow them to revisit their lessons and the programs the district provides.
The headphones allow my students to concentrate and feel connected to the program they are using. The headphones fit to the student and they can control the volume with just a touch of their hand. This ease allows each child to select the volume to suit their needs. They are durable and will last the year.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn.
