Each item on my class list will be used to help students have a safe and positive 4th grade year. Students really struggled last year with virtual learning, and my goal is to get them excited about learning and coming to school again. About 25% of the students in my school are homeless, and 94% qualify for free or reduced lunch, and because of this, families do not have the funds to supply their students with important school materials.
The cleaning supplies will be used to make sure that students are safe and healthy inside of our classroom. I want all surfaces to be disinfected in order to keep students and their families healthy. The art materials will be used to ensure that students have a creative outlet and are broadening their horizons. The books and pillows will be used in our class library, so that they find a love of reading. The other remaining items will be used to create a classroom environment that is organized, so students are clear on classroom expectations and procedures.
