I am requesting earbuds with microphones so my students can complete online assignments and projects, as well as extra chargers to keep their computers going. Students work at their own pace, within a given timeframe. This means that students will be working on different lessons at any given time. Each lesson begins with a video "lecture" given by me, their teacher. With students working on different lessons at the same time, it can get a bit distracting hearing their teacher explain different topics at the same time. The earbuds, given to those kids who need them, will help students stay focused on their lesson.
You will be helping students stay on track towards mastery of the material. Not only will the earbuds be used for listening, they will also be used to incorporate sound into their projects. Students will use the microphones to record themselves speaking, adding that extra touch to their masterpieces.
It is so easy to run out of the house forgetting the "small things", like your charger! The chargers will be kept in the classroom "just in case."
I am so excited to see what my students will do this year!
