In our inclusive classroom, students collaborate and work around different classroom spaces throughout the day. Currently, students have access to clipboards, floor cushions, and lap desks. Allowing them to earn the chance to select their own seating is motivating to students to want to learn. Students have the ability to choose the seating that works best for them, and being able to provide them with options is important and allows them to take charge and ownership of their own learning while having a positive impact on their work and behavior throughout the day. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. The students would be thrilled to have options to choose from as they learn to take control of their own learning!
