Upon returning to my classroom last week to begin setting up for the upcoming school year, I noticed an unsafe hazardous substance that required myself and three other teachers to vacate our classrooms leaving all of our belongings behind. Today was the first day back welcoming students in person since March 2020. I was devastated not to be able to offer a classroom library. Our current one is in storage and will more than likely not be salvageable. I would love to provide my students with books to help them have the most successful and joyous school year.
