This project will allow me to work collaboratively with my students in small groups, based upon academic compatibility. Small groups have been an incredibly effective means of teaching in elementary schools. By the time students reach middle school, they often do not have the opportunity for centers or small groups that they grew accustomed to in their earlier years of education. I fully intend to pinpoint specific areas of weakness (vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, figurative language, literature, informational text, etc) so I can better help my students become stronger and more proficient learners.
