This is my first year teaching at a Title I STEM school, and so I am without many of the tools I need to be a successful math and science teacher. I have limited storage space and few science and math manipulatives.
Therefore, these STEM materials will allow my students to be able to use inquiry and innovation to enhance their learning within my classroom while also taking these skills beyond the classroom walls into the real world.
With the Real-World STEM challenges set, my students will be able to explore and inquire about how to overcome real problems in the world. Additionally, the building blocks and magnetic tiles will allow my students to design and construct while applying the knowledge they've gained from science lessons. Furthermore, the geometric puzzles will greatly enhance my students' thinking during our geometry unit. These materials will foster deeper engagement with learning in my classroom.
