Students are always allowed to be curious and conduct hands on investigations while in class. They are required to gather data and share their findings after these investigations are completed. Being able to display this data in a color chart or graph not only prepares them for middle school, high school and college, but it also helps them to learn how to read and interpret data which is a skill that is covered in Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. Students are more engaged when they can be proud of the work that is being presented. This would definitely motivate them to do their best work.
