I am teaching adapted physical education classes for all grades to support students motor learning and provide access to the physical education curriculum for students with special needs. For safety reasons, I am teaching outdoors only and students and staff are wearing masks. I can tell that communication is much harder with masks covering half of teachers and students faces. Especially new students or students that are non-verbal need more attention since their needs are not easily read anymore in facial expressions. I would like to have my voice project louder and further to better my teaching with a mask. It will make student learning easier as well as communication with my support staff. I am hoping to have more successful class sessions for students staff and myself.
