I am requesting Texas Instrument TI30xiis calculators to help build confidence in my students as they conquer their insecurities about math.
There is no such thing as 'I'm not a math person,' everyone is a math person and uses it every day. Students don't realize they use math every day. I want to build their confidence and show student real-life applications so they understand the importance of math. To ease their struggle they need access to calculators that are easy to use. Currently I do not have a class set of calculators for my students and they are forced to use cell phones that are not applicable to the course or allowed in testing environments. They need to have access to what they are allowed to use to meet their graduation requirements.
