At this time our classroom doesn't have desks, so we are getting creative! And honestly, our students sit at their desks in their homeroom for such a large portion of the day. Why not do something different when they come to our room? I have some other adaptive seating materials and will rotate these weekly so that our students get a chance to explore each one.
By providing them with adaptive/non-traditional seating, students will have more freedom in their movement while still having their own space. We all know there are different types of learners. There isn't a "one size fits all" in teaching, so why should it be any different for their seating?
