Student musicians need specific supplies to get started successfully on their individual instruments. This includes reeds for woodwind instruments and valve/slide oils and grease for brass instruments. Without these supplies, students will be unable to play and practice their instruments and will not develop skills in proper instrument care and maintenance. Many students are unable to afford these extra supplies in addition to instrument rental and other costs. Having these supplies in the classroom will ensure that all students have access to the essential equipment and supplies they need to start their musical journey on an instrument. These supplies will serve students in beginning band across six elementary schools.
