My students work with me in a small office setting that has limited space and seating. Because the room is confined, I never have had the right furniture to have more than 2 or 3 students in a group. This limits the total number of students I can help serve in a given day simply due to logistics. With a kidney style table, I can run a more effective group session with up to four students where each child can see and access the lesson and materials.
This table will allow me to connect closely with each individual student while maximizing the learning space and help support more children with their personal needs in each lesson.
Working in a "prepared environment" so that children can learn most easily and naturally is essential in making the most of the time I have with them. We don't get to see each other everyday as a classroom teacher might, so every moment is valuable. This table will help us to maximize the learning time together.
