The on-going Covid pandemic and the persistent inconsistencies our students are facing only add to the already existing stressors and traumas. Resources have been identified to assist my students cope with the higher levels of anxiety, lower levels of self-esteem, increased identity confusion, and more complex socio-emotional relationships that they are currently experiencing as they attempt to navigate the messy and confusing transition to in-person learning.
I will be utilizing all materials to develop individualized short-term counseling to students identified to be "high-risk" who require a stronger foundation to ensure they feel safe and supported as they make their way back to the physical classroom.
