I really value the opportunity for my students to learn through hands-on activities. In Kindergarten we have center time every day that will allow students access to these items and will help develop their love of learning. The students will be able to independently or in small groups play games that correlate with our math and reading curriculum. We also have intervention blocks that these games and seating areas will be used to best support the students. The students will spend a tremendous amount of time on the rug during morning meeting, for read alouds, group work and independent reading. The flexible seating will add to our reading corner as well as offer additional seating choices for students at the rug. I remember the excitement of learning through play and I hope to continue this in my classroom. Please help make this happen, not only for my classroom this year but the future of all my students!
