All my Special Education students are from Brooklyn and many come from low-income households. The school/site that I work at is a public 6th-8th grade school.
All of the materials that I am requesting can help them to learn more effectively and support them to learn more activities beyond the classroom and also keep our classroom clean. Many have a hard time writing and they prefer to use pictures to help them understand the content of learning.
I am requesting whiteboards and dry erase markers, and cleaning essentials including Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to make sure to keep our classroom as clean as possible. after not being in the classroom for close to 19 months, many of the rooms and materials have dust and dirt on them. We would like to start the year off free from dust, dirt, germs, and anything else that was left behind. When we left our classrooms at the start of Covid, wipes were nowhere to be found. We could not purchase them anywhere. We are still having difficulty getting them in the amounts we need to clean our classrooms.
