I am requesting colored pencils, crayons, brushes, acrylic paint and more. My students are embarking on a new journey that they have not been able to be a part of most of their young lives.
My students have never gotten to take an art class! Well, this year they will! With the help from our administration we have allotted some time for enrichment programs, mine being art! I have some outstanding artists that are ecstatic to get started on their art projects, but the bad news is...we have no supplies for art. AT ALL!!
My students will benefit from these supplies because they will FINALLY be able to express the art that is within them. I have some students that will benefit with this art program by giving them an outlet for their autism, anxiety, and anger they harbor. I am planning on teaching the elements of art and then I will be able to start some projects with them where they will be utilizing those elements. Where is the color with no supplies to color? Where is the shape, with no clay to make shapes? Where is the art with no children growing up to be Van Goghs?
I am so appreciative of any and every donation. Each donation means a child will finally get to express theirself through art.
