Students will develop fine motor skills through manipulating a variety of materials. Students will build their spatial capabilities through manipulating three-dimensional materials by creating animals and objects using the model magic materials. They will also build 3D architectural buildings using the magnetic plates. Students will develop their vocabulary to describe colors, lines, and shapes and mix colors using the book for inspiration and the mix model magic colors and the paint daubers. Students will develop their fine motor skills by picking up and putting in the lite bright materials and by drawing using the wet mat, magnetic drawing boards, and the light up boards. We will also sharpen those scissor skills with the fun book of activities. We will advance their art vocabulary by using the art books and create multi-media artworks, including the dot daubers for Seurat style pointillism artworks. I want to have a variety of materials to address different modalities of learning with this group of students.
Students will develop their cognitive skills by using creativity to express themselves through their art.
Children will cultivate a love of art through a variety of media by visiting stations in the Art room. Please help us foster this love by funding these art stations. They are mostly durable items, that can and will be used for years to come. Thanks for any and all help!
