We will use these books in our library to learn more about inclusion, ethnic studies, identities, differences, and culture awareness. These books describe characteristics of cultures for kindergartners to understand differences and find connections with peers. Students will learn about their own feelings and kindness while developing social emotional skills. They will learn to be kind using kind words and conflict resolution strategies. They will also learn strategies such as mindfulness to calm themselves and to face emotions present in kindergarten, which will help them prepare for their school life. The book bins and bookcase will help to organize the books in our classroom library.
