Our students today have not had a full, school-year experience with their teacher and friends in almost two years. I cannot think of a more appropriate time to really sink into social and emotional learning. Through this project, I hope to empower my students more than I previously have before. My goal is to leverage the arts to teach about SEL and diversity. This project contains so many books to add to our budding classroom library! Informational text about great artists will inform my students about the fine arts. Books about Black stories will be a boon to my student's knowledge and appreciation of different cultures. Lastly, I am requesting current resource books so I better bring the arts into our learning goals.

About my class
