Students in my classroom learn to collaborate and listen to each other during our daily whole group math time and small group time. Small group time especially allows for insights into how my students think out their math strategies. Then, students work with me to enhance or build on their math thinking. All of this time is best spent, not at individual desks, but at tables. By donating to this project, I expect my students to build confidence in their math learning by having a comfortable space to collaborate and listen to each other and me.
