Students will be working Independently this year while engaging in classroom projects for Science experiments and projects. We are learning about astronomy this week. We will discuss why we can’t see stars during the day. Students will replicate the Big Dipper onto black co structuring paper by using a push pin and poking holes in a Dixie cup. Then students will sign a flashlight through these holes to represent the stars in the formation of the Big Dipper. A second flashlight is used to represent the sun shining in the sky and when that shines onto the black construction paper you no longer can see the stars.
