Studies show that children learn better through hands-on experiences, as well as experiencing concepts and materials via visuals and music. Because of this, I want to provide my students with the digital resources found on BrainPop and Flocabulary to help introduce them to different math, science, and reading concepts, and to really help solidify those concepts with repetitive listening and watching. In addition, when teaching math specifically, I want to provide my students with base ten blocks and counters to allow them hands-on learning opportunities.
Learning comes in all shapes and sizes, and I want to enhance my students' learning experiences with the use of hands-on materials, books, videos, and music to really help each concept sink in throughout the school year.
