My scholars are committing to 90 minutes a week with ST Math online math instruction. This program is highly engaging. The scholars love it! The program builds their confidences and provides equity in learning because each scholar progresses at his or her own level. They work on their own at home and in the classroom. However, they can help each other problem solve. Each week I have a "Leader Board" and a "Goal Busters Board" that is on my Schoology page. The scholars who solve the most math puzzles are on the "Leader Board." The scholars who complete their 90 math minutes and surpass their previous week's puzzle count are on the "Goal Busters Board!"
My students are motivated by the small treat I present them too. On Mondays when they come to class, I present the Leader and Goal Buster Boards and each person also receives a treat. They love getting single-serve Pringle chips, a jolly rancher, fun Smencils pencil or cool stickers. If they are on both Boards, they get two treats. They start their week with positive energy knowing their efforts pay off. ST Math is a game changer in my instruction.
Thank you for helping me keep it going! My classes are excelling.
