What is your favorite place to go in your community? Students will take a look at architecture in and around their community. Each student will choose a favorite window, door or part of a landscape that means something to them. It might be the door to grandma's house, a tree or park bench where they like to relax. Students will take a photo with their chromebook or phone and email it to their teacher. The image will be printed then each student will trace the image onto a slab of clay. Students will use additive and subtractive textures to the slab of clay to create an architecture tile. We will bend wire clothes hangers to make stands for the tiles to be displayed in the students homes forever!
