I teach dual language Spanish immersion at a middle school and many of my students come from homes in which Spanish is their first language. For this reason I would love to be able to add some books in Spanish that students could read in my classroom this year. It can be for book reports, silent reading, and other investigate projects! I also made sure to pick books that have a social justice theme, as this is a huge focus for us this year and the years to come!
Reading is such a powerful tool and to be able to provide my students with the opportunity to explore these topics on their own and as a class is really exciting. I know it will continue to enhance their problem solving skills and literacy in Spanish!
