As a second-year teacher, it is my dream to have my wishlist fulfilled so that all of my students will be equipped with the fundamental tools they need to thrive in school and for my classroom to be accommodating for each of my learners. Since I am a new teacher there are so many tools, manipulatives, incentives, etc. needed for my classroom! I added a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to my list as I spent hundreds of dollars on that website last year downloading supplemental materials, crafts, organizers, learning tools, games, decorations, etc... I also added some educational games for my students to play during indoor recess as I currently have none since my students had to maintain social distance last year and were unable to play games with one another. I added a pencil sharpener as I went through 2 last year! The erasers will be used as part of my behavior management plan. Some of the items on my list are to help students be successful in completing their work as one of my goals is to relieve many families of a financial stressor that influences how prepared their children are for the curriculum. Not every family has the financial stability to supply their child with the proper school equipment to succeed. I want my classroom to be a safe zone where each child feels welcomed, loved, and valued.
