All of these materials will create an inclusive classroom environment so my students are able to learn and grow this year. I have selected many books that reflect and tell stories that are relevant to my students. Additionally, my students need fidget toys and flexible seating cushions so that they are able to actively engage in class. Markers and pencils will help my students create, draw, and write. A projector clicker will help me to circulate the classroom and help students while moving through a lesson. Finally, a Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ Pride flag will help to create an affirming and safe environment for my students. Overall, these supplies will enable me to maintain a warm and comfortable classroom for my first year of teaching!
