As they return to in-person learning and come to high school for the first time, students will be working hard to readjust to class environments and find a routine that works for them. Having ample resources to support my students is essential to making our classroom feel like a comfortable and accessible space for them. I hope that they can come into the classroom and feel excited about collaborating and expanding their creativity. I hope that these supplies can give students the opportunity to express themselves and explore literature using paper and markers in a multitude of ways (illustrating texts, visually representing literary devices, working in rotational groups to brainstorm, etc.).
On top of being engaged in the classroom with these tools, they also provide incredibly necessary support for many students whose learning is aided by visual and/or hands-on work. Reinforcing material through multimodal means can help me effectively reach more students.
