My students work very hard to be successful in their high school careers. During this journey, they participate in an advisory class that allows them time to catch up on work. If they are passing all of their classes, they get to have fun instead of travel to seek help. I want to create an atmosphere with tools to make that time more fun for them. I can do this by providing them with games, puzzles, and time to color. I also want to be sure to make them all feel safe and clean by having extra masks and tissues at the ready. The air purifier will clean the air in our environment to help them breathe more easily. Additionally, I have SpEd students who benefit from reading windows to help them focus, earbuds so that they can hear the text as it is read to them, and sensory items to keep them focused and engaged when their minds begin to wander in other directions.
