These books will help my Hispanic students in so many ways. First and foremost, they will feel represented when they enter the library. I want them to know that they are welcome in the library and the school. By having books of interest I can also help to build readers, which is extremely important. I want my students to know that I value them and their interests and that I am here to assist them in any way that I can. Having books that they can read helps to make them feel comfortable during a difficult time and transition.

About my class
