I find that visual hourglass timers make it more concrete and easier for my students to understand duration of activities - whether that's helping them see that "this activity you don't like is almost done" or "only X amount of time until something you really like!"
Dolls with Down Syndrome will let my preschoolers with Down Syndrome see themselves reflected in a meaningful, 3-dimensional way. A doctor kit will help us practice going to the doctor so that it's less scary. A magic microphone will help children find their voices.
