My mathematics course is very algebra heavy. This means students will need graphing paper to graph lines, shapes, curves, and other coordinates. Having units on their paper prevents students from having their thoughts turn into an organizational nightmare. Being able to have clear work to look back to provides them not only with the knowledge for the present, but builds strong skills for future note-taking. When students have one home for all of their work in one notebook, it relieves stress and anxiety of forgetting something at home, or losing papers/assignments.
