These materials will help me create a space to teach students out of their seats. Based on research and my own teaching experience, students need to change up their learning space throughout the day to best learn! Giving students the opportunity to sit on a rug, use flexible seating and have a new spot to learn will allow them to be attentive to the curriculum and engage in their own learning. I find that most students look forward to rug time and I would love to have a space big enough to give them an opportunity to learn from the rug as well as use this space for morning meetings to continue to build our classroom environment and relationships.
