One of the things that we talk about in class is the power that books have to transport us to different worlds, allowing us to see from the perspective of someone other than ourselves. The additions of these books would help build an even richer classroom library, making it more accessible and more relevant than ever before. With each new addition to our library, I give a book talk to introduce the new books. After our book talks, the students are so excited and eager to get their hands on the new additions that we have had to set up a book waiting list. Seeing how much enthusiasm this class has for reading brings me so much joy and I welcome you to share in that joy!
Your contribution to these materials would directly support my goal of providing students with a print-rich classroom that offers both windows and mirrors to the experiences and stories of others.
