We will use the grow light and germination station to discover how seeds grow and what is needed to make plants grow and about plant reproduction. My classroom does not have windows and is not conducive to growing plants.
This project will also be used to assist students with their social-emotional growth. The seeds will represent the students. As in the book "The Carrot Seed," the person who cultivated and took care of the seed helped it grow into a plant. The naysayers who said the plant would not grow held the boy back. I want to show our students that with encouragement and guidance they can do anything.
