When children are able to have a variety of books to choose from, they are more likely to develop a love for reading. They can find what book interests them and inspires them. By having a diverse classroom library, children can spend a minimum of 20 minutes reading daily. By reading daily, not only will their reading improve, but all academics can improve. There are many students who do not have access to books at home. By having a large library, I could send books home with my students so they can read with their families and share a love for reading.
