Many of my students do not have the opportunity to travel outside of our city, so this Postcard Exchange project will provide them with some insight of what life is like for their peers throughout the United States. It will also help them explore the geographic composition of our country.
The students will complete their postcards, and they will be mailed to the 49 designated schools that are also participating in this project. Once we receive postcards from the other schools, they will be placed on a map of the United States. Students can be engaged further through the States and Capitals Workbooks.
