I am very excited to begin a new school year in a new grade. Being a new teacher and in a new grade, it is important to have them an area to be organized for take home papers. I would like to have mailboxes this year to help my students with organizational and responsibility.
The mailboxes will give my students the responsibility of taking home their papers and folders.
It is important to help this young age group learn responsibility and ownership. The mailboxes will be labeled with their names for each student and they will be responsible for bringing their communication folder back to school everyday and place it in their mailbox. I will collect them and put graded papers or communication to parents in their mailboxes so at the end of the day they can check their mailboxes and place items in their book bags to go home.
I know my students will be excited about having the mailboxes because it would be something that is their very own! I am excited about the enjoyment and responsibility the mailboxes will create in our classroom.
