These books will be used in our classroom library as read alouds and as options for students to use during independent reading. By revamping the selection of books in my classroom library, I am hoping that students will find stories that correlate with their own lives and in turn will fuel a new love of reading.
A new book for a kid can be a new beginning. Since COVID-19 first started, many of my students have not had access to books at home, much less newer books. By revamping my collection, I hope students will fall in love with reading again as we try to get back to normal.
