Due to COVID students need to maintain 3 feet between each other and surfaces need to be cleaned often. Giving a washable cushion to each student to use for the entire year, will keep the students safe and give them each the opportunity to work collaboratively with each other on reading, writing, math, social studies, and science projects in the classroom floor and the school lawn. The movable stools will be used as tables for the students to use to play reading and math games while at their desks. Research shows that collaborative learning improves knowledge retention and the development of higher-order thinking skills.
