Help me give my students real life simulations that will help them grow and develop their social emotional skills all while playing and exploring different real-world experiences.
Illinois recently passed a bill that allows all students in grades K-5 to play every day.
Students are encouraged to self-direct while exploring their world through play. This will enhance their problem solving skills, their spacial awareness, and their creativity. My school has designated thirty minutes every day for uninterrupted play.
I have requested a Spirograph kit, wooden blocks, a stamping set, LEGOs, a play kitchen and cash register, Mental Blox, a Marble Run set, and magnetic building tiles. These activities will be greatly appreciated by all the students, and myself included!
